My name is Melissa Travis and I own and run Atlanta Reiki. I currently write, speak, and teach energy medicine, Reiki, and personal healing. I offer a full schedule of classes, sessions, workshops, and seminars.

I was born in Ohio and moved to Atlanta about 5 years ago. I have studied spirituality and healing for over 9 years and opened Atanta Reiki after my move. I am currently obtaining a Ph D and study the intersection of spirituality within different areas of our lives.

As a Certified Reiki Master, I am trained in both Usui and Karuna ReikiŽ, as well as a LA HO CHI facilitator. I am registered with the International Center for Reiki Training as a Karuna ReikiŽ Master and I am a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals.

I have long been interested in mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health and healing. After studying many types of yoga, meditation, energy medicine, shamanism, mind exercises, therapy, and healing modalities, I learned about Reiki. I became so interested I decided to discover as much as I could; and the more I learned the more I knew Reiki would to be part of my life path. It is a true pleasure to bring Reiki to anyone who is interested. I am glad we stumbled upon each other on our journey.

I believe that growth is a lifelong process and that we must be open to change and new ideas along the way. I also strongly believe that we are each on this earth to lighten each other's loads and smooth each other's progress as we move forward along our chosen route. Like a labyrinth, our lives move forward in different directions, but we all reach the Universal Center according to our individual needs and in our own time. There are no wrong paths, only long-cuts and short-cuts in our travels.
