| Reiki
(pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese form of stress reduction and relaxation.
Medical research shows Reiki to be useful in developing health and
wellness. Often used as a tool for spiritual alignment, Reiki can
be useful in opening ourselves to discovery and growth.
Used
as a natural healing technique, Reiki uses hands on healing to relax,
calm, and center. While it is often used to alleviate pain or chronic
symptoms, it can also be used as a spiritual tool to align our energy
centers and balance our awareness. It is often combined with massage,
nursing, and chiropractics in order to facilitate wellness.
What
happens during a session with you?
The
client and practitioner collaborate to design a session that is
individualized and meaningful. The client lies fully clothed on
a Reiki table as the practitioner uses gentle touch to assist the
client in achieving their wellness goals. Clients report their sessions
to be deeply relaxing and leave with a renewed focus to enhance
healing in all areas of their life.
How
can I use Reiki in my life?
We all search for ways that will enable us to grow and develop our
consciousness, increase health and wellness, creating peaces in
our lives. Reiki has been reported to enhance all areas of life;
mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Reiki can be
used by anyone in order to achieve a healthy and balanced life.
Historical
Information
Reiki
was re-discovered by Mikao Usui at the end of the 1800's. It was
introduced to the United States in the mid-1900's by Hawayo Takata.
